About Us:

First Rentals is a property management company managed by Jan MacPhearson(AREINZ) who is an accredited Property Manager and has 16 years’ experience in the property management industry. Jan also holds her Real Estate Agents license under the Real Estate Agents Act 2008.

The Property Management team at the Kaitaia office consists of Hazely Windelborn and Adrian Dermer.

The First Rentals focus is providing a high standard of service to both landlords and tenants.

We dedicate ourselves to providing a hassle free service for landlords so that they can enjoy the benefits of their rental investments to the fullest.

    The Process:

    We can either manage your property on your behalf or act as a letting agent and find a tenant on your behalf but you continue to manage your property yourself.

    Whatever your decision we find the right tenant for you by doing the following:

  • Displaying details and photographs of your property on the First National website along with Trademe and Realestate Co NZ websites.
  • Modern signage to attract the right tenant.
  • Displaying a window card at our office complete with details of the property and photos.

    • We take the applications off the tenants including a copy of their drivers license.

    References are then checked by our property management team; these references must be past rental references. The only other acceptable form of reference being a print out of payment history of some sort over a reasonable period of time with a character reference from an employer or similar.
